Who we are

At Yorkshire Rose College, every student matters. We’re part of The Carr Fenton Foundation, a charity with a proud heritage in Deaf education and a clear commitment to supporting Deaf and SEND students today. We provide inclusive, student-first education that empowers young people to achieve on their own terms.

Many of our students can’t access mainstream colleges because the pace, size or environment just doesn’t meet their needs. That doesn’t mean they lack potential – it means they need the right support to unlock it. We remove barriers to learning by keeping class sizes small, tailoring support and offering a holistic mix of education, therapies and pastoral care.

Our students range from those with severe learning disabilities needing one-to-one support, through to students working towards Level 3 vocational qualifications. What they all share is the chance to grow in confidence, independence and skills in a community where communication comes first.

Students thrive in a safe, welcoming, supportive and calm learning environment. They develop confidence, friendships and the skills to take their next steps into adulthood.
