For learners

If you’ve struggled in education, feel anxious about learning, or have been out of work for a while, you’re not alone. We offer a friendly, flexible way to learn that’s built around you.

There are no exams, no deadlines, and no pressure – just practical learning, one-to-one support, and real opportunities to grow in confidence. We’ll help you find out what kind of work you’d enjoy, develop the skills employers are looking for, and support you every step of the way.

Without your support I wouldn’t be where I am now — in a permanent job I love.

— SP

I like that training is done at my pace and gives me time to learn better. The training areas are great — they show me what I’m able to do.

What to expect

When you join Aspire to Be, you’ll have your own individual plan and plenty of support. We focus on confidence first, because when you believe you can do something, everything else follows. Every learner gets:

  • A welcome visit and Information, Advice & Guidance (IAG) session to talk about your goals and options
  • A personalised action plan with flexible sessions to suit your pace
  • Practical learning in our simulated workplaces
  • Regular check-ins to review progress and next steps
  • Ongoing support with confidence, motivation, and wellbeing
  • Choice on whether to attend one day a week or several, for as long as it takes to reach your goals.

Individuals are able to get the support and training they need — many now have jobs with us across Doncaster.

Digital skills

Learn how to use computers, smartphones and the internet safely and effectively — from email and online job applications to assistive technology and basic cybersecurity.

Specialist support

If you need extra help, our team can connect you with therapists and specialist services. We have Speech and Language Therapists and Occupational Therapists who support communication and workplace adaptations. All our staff are trained in British Sign Language, and some of our work coaches are themselves D/deaf or hearing-impaired.

Positivity is built into everything the team do. I’m happy to say, with their help, I found work.

– Jackie
