Changing lives
through education,
care and opportunity

Yorkshire Rose College supports young people to learn, grow and thrive.

For almost two centuries, The Carr Fenton Foundation has supported children and young people to learn, grow and thrive. As part of this proud charitable legacy, Yorkshire Rose College empowers Deaf and SEND students aged 16–25 to achieve their ambitions through specialist teaching, personalised support and practical, hands-on learning.

Here, every learner is valued as an individual — encouraged to discover their strengths, grow in confidence, and build a future that’s right for them.

What we offer

Individual learning that fits you

Every student follows a bespoke study programme designed around their goals, needs and interests. From vocational training to life skills, our three curriculum pathways – Communication & Wellbeing, Independence, and Employability – help each learner move confidently towards adulthood and independence.

What we offer

Dedicated space for deaf students

Our Deaf Education Centre offers a dedicated space for deaf students, led by specialist staff and supported by Communication Support Workers. We promote British Sign Language (BSL) as part of everyday college life, celebrating deaf culture and identity while ensuring every student can learn in their preferred language.

What we offer

Learning beyond the classroom

From enterprise projects and work placements to sports, clubs and residential life at Darley Lodge, students experience a vibrant community where learning extends far beyond lessons. Every opportunity helps develop confidence, independence and real-world skills.

What we offer

Preparing for your future

Careers guidance, work experience and transition planning are built into every student’s journey. Our dedicated staff and employer partnerships help students take the next step — whether that’s employment, further study, or supported living.
